Chartreuse de Fareyroux

The ground floor features a beautiful, centrally located, hall-like kitchen with a large Chipperfield dining table and a magnificent fireplace. To the left is a large living room with its own fireplace and a small kitchenette. The ground floor also includes three sleeping spaces, one of which is in our charmingly furnished Salon Chinois. There is also a large bathroom and a guest toilet.

Upstairs, a magnificent staircase leads to the open-plan floor in the east tower, which we consider a playroom. A children's paradise, it also offers three extra beds (should you have a larger group). These beds are not included in the total number of beds rented, but are always available.

Following this, on the upper floor of the so-called Corps de Logis, we have 3 further bedrooms, each with 2 plus one bed, as well as a bathroom.

At the very end of the south tower is a huge storage room with an open attic; another large double bed is located here. This is guaranteed to be a truly original accommodation option.

If the number of guests exceeds 11 (this must be agreed upon with us beforehand, discussed by phone), an additional bathroom is available on the ground floor. This is not included as standard in the booking platform and would need to be discussed separately.

Meals are eaten in the large, central kitchen-living room, or directly adjacent to it on the terrace on the southeast side of the main building – or in the evenings, weather permitting (westerly), in the courtyard on the southwest side. Many options are available here.

The swimming pool with seating is located in a separate garden area. Whip up a cocktail here! And enjoy your free time and a bit of exercise. The swimming pool is 25 meters long and 3 meters wide! Excellent for lap swimmers who want more than just a little splashing around 😊 For small children, the front area of the swimming pool has been set at a depth of 40 centimeters and is available (under supervision (!)) for the very youngest.

Please note that the swimming pool is not fenced. We kindly ask parents who are unable or unwilling to supervise their very young children themselves to refrain from booking our charter pool.

We do have an electronic pool detector on site that reacts and sends out signals in case of an alarm - but better safe than sorry. Small children are welcome here - but please take responsibility and ensure that you leave with the same number of people as you arrived 😊

The Chartreuse is a large and intricate building; there are stairs and an upper floor, window sills, so there are countless opportunities to get hurt - please keep a close eye on your children.

But you'll be used to that. It's no different in Cologne or Düsseldorf.

Parking is available in front of the chartreuse, and additionally in the barn on the right-hand side, which has 5 covered parking spaces. In case of rain, please drive your cars into the courtyard to load and unload your groceries.
