You can reach Fareyroux:
- By flying carpet. Like all heavenly places.
If that is not available, there are alternatives:
- The plane, for guests in a hurry 😊 Bordeaux Airport is served by flights from various destinations, some direct, some with stopovers in Amsterdam or Paris/Charles de Gaulle. From Bordeaux Airport, tram line A runs to the city center or to the main train station, Saint-Jean, Bordeaux, and from there to Saint-Astier every hour or two, taking approximately 70 minutes.
- By car - the easiest way and recommended for excursions in the Dordogne anyway: You can either get to Paris via the western route (Orléans, Tour, Poitier, Angoulême and then a bit of country road) - or via the eastern route (Orléans, Châteauroux, Limoges, Brive, Périgueux).
- Overall, the A89 is the west-east motorway connection that allows you to travel safely and quickly across the Atlantic, then Bordeaux, then the Chartreuse itself and the rest of the Dordogne to the Massif Central.
